Skip this one and get the SD1300 or SD1400...

Was very pleased with the SD1100 with 8 MP, but thought I could get even better 8x10's and larger prints with more mega pixels. So I bought the SD1200 with 10 MP's and was not really impressed. The SD1100 is a better camera. I think that my main complaint is that the flash never worked and since most of my work involved daytime hours, I didn't notice this until the warranty ran out. Now I just use it for everyday shots and short video. I will admit that it is very sturdy-it took a fall on concrete and sustained only minor scratching. I've never dropped a camera before so I don't know how this would compare to others but I suspect that it fared well. I intend to upgrade to either the newer SD1400 or whatever comes next. Canon quality is awesome. Don't want to penalize Canon-I believe that I just got a lemon this time. My advice would be to research the newer versions of this camera. It should be mentioned that Amazon's usually impressive packing was lacking in this instant and may have contributed to the faulty flash.
