18-55 kit lens is disappointing
If you are buying an slr camera for the first time, be aware that the initial price that you pay for this camera is only the beginning of the total cost. To start with, the lens provided with the camera is no better than what you would get on a point and shoot camera.
If you choose to upgrade the lens, you will probably be surprised to find out that Canon lens upgrades cost hundreds if not a thousand dollars. So, my advice is to be aware that this camera is a lot more expensive than it appears!
