lovely, delightful lens
This is a great lens. Great quality. Great construction. Beautiful. Interesting images. I love it. Sharp and fast.
I give it a 4.5 star for sure but since we can not rate half points, i prefer to err on the higher rating side in this case.
Given the nature of the lens, you really can not put a filter on it, and the cheap plastic cover on it, still lets dust go through it. Also, so far I have had two Nikon lenses, one with filter on it from minute one that have gotten a couple of small bubbles on them. I sent one to Nikon and they cleaned it for me. No idea how the bubbles got there.
I used the lens on my nikon d700, and now on the D3S. This is a lot more fun lens than 24 to 70mm or the 79-200mm lens. Albeit different purpose.
I highly recommend Nikon 14 to 24mm lens.
