simply the best
This is my 4th non SLR digital camera, i have had it for about 12 months now, and i have to say that it is by far the best camera that I, or anyone I know, has had. The punchline is simple. It is TINY, fits in my pocket like a cell phone (please remember not to have anything else in your pocket because the touchscreen WILL scratch), fast, and i haven't had to take it off AUTO to get the best pictures. Of course fooling around with black & white, sepia, and vibrant is fun, but 99% of the time, I leave it on auto and the pictures come out GREAT. This camera has a great quality of capturing backround light and creating a great picture by mixing the light sources together. Mind you i'm not a professional photographer, but if you were, you wouldn't be buying a non SLR camera anyway. The bottom line is that whenever i am at a party, my camera takes the best pictures compared to anyone elses pocket size digital camera, every time, PERIOD. And to the reviewer who complained of a "haze in every picture that would make carl zeiss roll over in his grave", clean your lens!
